The design of the grid is a series of quadrangles, each of which has two long sides of equal length and similarly two equal short sides. These cells are arranged in a diamond-shaped pattern along the length of the sausage stick in an even line. The "Chainmail" grid changes beyond recognition depending on the selected cell size and the size of the sausage filling. Small cells look interesting and neat, favourably emphasizing the shape of the sausage.

- Mesh colors: white, red, black, beige, natural, yellow, green, blue, burgundy and combinations of these colors.
